London – March 31, 2009 – SANYO Europe Ltd. (SANYO), today announces that shipping has started for the new, 2009 Dual Camera Xacti lineup announced in January this year. The first cameras to be available are the VPC-HD2000, VPC-FH1, VPC-WH1, VPC-TH1, and VPC-CG10 at select online and high street retailers across the UK.

To celebrate shipping of the new lineup, SANYO will release a Xacti Game on the popular social networking site, Facebook. The Game is situated around a Xacti poolside party and the clever interaction with Facebook means that users can upload and interact with images of friends in their Network, using the simple Xacti dual camera photos and videos buttons.
“The number of people that regularly contribute personalized video and photo content to the Internet is climbing exponentially”, said Dominic Jones, UK Marketing Strategy Manager at SANYO Europe Ltd. “This game is deliberately targeted at these users, to whom we intend to demonstrate the ease of sharing content online with the Xacti Dual Cameras.”
The all-HD Dual Camera lineup for 2009 offers a variety of unique features including 1080p, 60frames per second High Definition Video with 8 megapixel photos (VPC-FH1), High Definition Video, up to 2 megapixel photos and 30x optical zoom (VPC-TH1) on land, or even underwater – up to 10 feet for an hour (VPC-WH1), and High Definition Video and 10 megapixel photos (VPC-CG10).
