World’s smallest and lightest full HD camera launched in UK

SANYO today announces the UK launch plans for the world’s smallest, lightest and thinnest full HD camcorder ever – the SANYO Xacti VPC-CS1. All Xacti cameras are Dual Cameras, with both full HD camcorder and a digital still camera functions. The CS1 is the smallest and most stylish model yet.

  • The SANYO Xacti CS1 will be available from March 5, priced around £249
  • Measuring less than one inch thick, the CS1 is the thinnest and lightest ever full 1080i HD pocket camcorder
  • The slender pistol grip chassis is perfect for taking everywhere and shooting everything
  • The CS1 is a hit with celebrities – Colin Firth, Naomi Campbell, Carey Mulligan, Claire Danes and Nicholas Hoult all own one
  • The still camera functionality takes 8 megapixel images (even while shooting video)
  • The camera has a 38mm lens with 10x advanced zoom
  • Includes built-in features such as ‘Face Chase’ technology, colour targeting and a digital image stabiliser
  • MP4 recording format ensures easy upload to YouTube, Facebook and MySpace
  • The CS1 will be available in two colour options: metallic silver and magenta
