La Tasca launches new menu and world’s best gluten free beer!
Spanish tapas bar and kitchen, La Tasca, has two new launches up its sleeves with a brand new menu hitting the tables on 28th February and the world’s best gluten free beer launching on 1st March. The new beer, Estrella Damm Daura, will be sold exclusively in La Tasca restaurants for the next six months and recently won the accolade of ‘World’s Best Lager – Gluten Free’ at last year’s World Beer Awards.
- After improving the core ingredients and introducing a more modern presentation, the tapas menu has been redesigned from scratch, with the number of dishes halved and new, fresh ingredients, from the sea, the field and the garden, sourced from Spanish suppliers
- Alongside a new menu, the wine list and cocktail menu has also been redesigned, offering a range of quality Spanish wines and exciting classic cocktails
- Estrella Damm Daura is made from barley malt, enabling coeliac disease sufferers the opportunity to enjoy a beer with total assurance and safety, without it tasting as though they are drinking a substitute
- The new beer will accompany the 18 gluten free dishes on La Tasca’s new menu, which has been designed in house by acclaimed executive chef, Antonio Bennett, and brings with it even more provenance and regional Spanish links
Joanne Cox, Brand Marketing Manager of La Tasca Restaurants, said:
We want to make sure our menu, in terms of both food and drink, is as diverse as possible and caters for people with all dietary requirements. This, coupled with our aim of sourcing local Spanish produce, made our decision to introduce Estrella Damm Daura really simple. It is completely in keeping with La Tasca and enhances the gluten free offering on our new menu.

Today sees the launch of the most radical menu change in La Tasca’s 20 year history. On the back of the successful menu trial in the new La Tasca Kitchen sites at the end of last year, we are now launching the new menu across the whole estate. We have carried out extensive guest research where the overwhelming feedback was incredibly positive around the freshness and quality of the new menu.
He continued: However we have taken the opportunity to tweak and refresh some of the dishes on the back of this feedback, prior to today’s launch we have also simultaneously made the decision to change our whole food supply chain by switching from Brakes to Fresh Direct. This is a very exciting move for La Tasca and another step on our journey to cementing the brand at the top of the casual dining market. Fresh Direct is a perfect cultural fit for us and we very much look forward to partnering with them as we grow and expand our business.
