November 27, 2009

- Amazing images of Bob Dylan have been unearthed and developed for the first time 31 years after they were originally taken
- The pictures are from Dylan’s concert in Austin, Texas in 1978
- The photographs were taken with ILFORD HP5 black and white film
- The photographer, Mark Estabrook sought help from ILFORD PHOTO’s technical team when he discovered the film whilst moving home
- Using ILFORD PHOTO darkroom chemicals, the images have been brought to life in their original glory – with no signs of ageing
- The quality of the images raises fears over whether digital files will last the test of time, as formats change and storage technology remains untested
