‘Unprecedented’ demand in Brighton sparks immediate expansion for Housebites.
Revolutionary take-away service housebites.com is recruiting chefs to cope with demand from enthusiastic Brighton foodies.
Housebites.com, the innovative take-away service that delivers fresh, high quality food cooked by local chefs, has experienced ‘unprecedented’ demand since launching in Brighton and Hove last week. The service, which aims to ‘re-invent’ takeaway, has had so many orders from Brightonians that it is already recruiting new chefs to expand reach and capacity in the region.
- Housebites’ unique model allows customers to browse daily menus created by local Brighton chefs at housebites.com, please an order for a specific time slot and have quality meals delivered to their door.
- The company began life in 2011 in central London and has grown rapidly in terms of reach and revenues.
- Brighton is currently the only other city to offer the Housebites service and will continue to be a focus for the organisation.
- Housebites has won the praise of a number of celebrity customers including Stephen Fry, Lily Allen, Scott Mills and Brighton’s own Zoe Ball.
Simon Prockter, co-founder and CEO at Housebites commented:
“We are thrilled to have arrived in Brighton and Hove – the first city we have expanded to outside of London – and especially with the unprecedented response we’ve seen to the service. We knew the city had a strong contingent of foodies, but we have already seen demand outstripping supply in certain areas so we have now officially put the call out to recruit more chefs in the area.”
Simon Prockter continued:
“Housebites Brighton is fundamental to the development of our offering – it is our first ‘expansion’ city and we can see a lot of potential here. The city has a culture of embracing the new and exciting, and it’s good to see Housebites seems to have fallen into that category.”
Simon Prockter added:
“Brighton has only seen the tip of the iceberg – we have exciting plans for the Housebites service and Brighton’s enthusiastic response means we are definitely looking to try new things here. It’s definitely a case of ‘watch this space’.”
