Rookie Lifeguards excel at Meadowlands Leisure Pool

On Saturday 5th November Meadowlands Leisure Pool in Tavistock, Devon, presented a group of young Rookies with their ‘Master Rookie Lifeguard’ certificates and badges. Katelyn Dawe, Jessica Eales, and three brothers, David, Thomas and Joseph Carver have managed to complete the Rookie programme and gone further to achieve their Master Rookie. Their teacher, Jackie Groombridge, made the presentation.
- Rookie Lifeguard is a program, which helps children to develop skills and knowledge on water safety, rescue, resuscitation and lifesaving sports skills
- In addition, Meadowlands Leisure Pool is currently offering any child enrolled on the swim school programme unlimited swimming and parents can pay £50 for unlimited casual swim for the duration of the swim term so they can accompany their child in general swim sessions
