Sport in St Albans awarded an ‘Excellent’ by national quality scheme
The St Albans Sport & Health Development Team has been awarded the highest category – Excellent in its annual Quest quality assessment, which involved a two-day audit in all areas of the teams’ activity.
- Quest is a tool for continuous improvement, designed primarily for the management of leisure facilities and leisure development
- It defines industry standards and good practice and encourages ongoing development and delivery within a customer focused management framework
- The team delivers projects, programmes and initiatives to help provide opportunities for people to take part in sport, health and leisure activities
- The team was established in 1991 and now delivers over 30 projects throughout the District each year, including programmes such as Active St Albans, Special Olympics St Albans and the St Albans Exercise Referral Scheme, as well as events such as the St Albans Half Marathon, Giant Monopoly and District Sports Awards
