Swimmers in Grantham raise more than £37,000 for local charities
The annual Rotary Club of Grantham Swim marathon event was held at Grantham Meres Leisure Centre in February, and more than 1,400 swimmers raised £37,187.
- A record number of swimmers turned out for the three-day event at the leisure centre
- With teams of 6 to 8 people using a lane for an hour to raise money for local charities, the Rotary Foundation and End Polio Now/Polio Plus campaigns
- The event attracted more than 200 teams from the local community, including many from local schools and swimming club
- Including the St John’s Day Centre team and members of the adult swimming lessons at Grantham Meres Leisure Centre
