Aquatic Youth Club launches in South Kesteven leisure centres
Four leisure centres in South Kesteven have launched an Aquatic Youth Club. Bourne Leisure Centre, Deepings Leisure Centre, Grantham Meres Leisure Centre and Stamford Leisure Pool will host the Aquatic Club starting this Friday evening, 16th September.
- The club is aimed at child swimmers who are over the age of eight
- Each session will be fully supervised by swimming instructors and provide opportunities to try a variety of aquatic activities, including waterpolo, diving and basic lifesaving skills
- Unlimited swimming is included for children enrolled in the South Kesteven swim school programme
- Parents can pay £50 for unlimited casual swimming for the duration of the swim term so they can accompany their child in casual swim sessions
Sue Chester, Contract Manager at Bourne, Deepings, Grantham and Stamford leisure centres, commented:
We pride ourselves on encouraging young people to get involved in a number of activities and clubs. The Aquatic Youth Club is not only a fun way for young people to build their confidence and ability in the water, but also a great opportunity to make friends across a wide social spectrum.
Clubs like these epitomise our aim to get the community to come together in ways that are fun, innovative and great for health and personal wellbeing.
