Peterlee Leisure Centre launches ladies activity mornings

Peterlee Leisure Centre is on the lookout for female recruits to join its ladies activity mornings, starting this September. Looking for women who want to get themselves healthy, both mentally and physically, as well as those that want to have fun, meet new friends and improve their health, the mornings are organised by the East Durham Belles.

  • Running every Wednesday morning from 9.30am to 11.30am, sessions are suitable for ladies of all ages, promising fitness, fun and friendship.
  • The East Durham Belles, a project funded by Sport England to encourage women ages 16+ and living in East Durham to engage in physical activity, will greet and invite ladies to take part in a wide range of fun activities including badminton, short tennis, racket ball, squash, exercise classes, spinning, swimming and Harpers gym sessions.
  • For just £2 per week, tea and coffee is included, and ladies simply need to turn up wearing something comfy and, if swimming, bring a swimming costume!

Quotations

The new activity mornings are a great way for women of all ages in and around the area to take part in a range of activities that the leisure centre has to offer, as well as meeting new people and having fun in the community.
