Swimmers from Peterlee took on a challenge for Swimathon 2013 at Peterlee Leisure centre between 26-28 April 2013. Over 23,000 swimmers of all ages and abilities completed their Swimathon challenge in 616 pools across the UK, helping to raise vital funds for Marie Curie Cancer Care.

Armageddon Fitness, a new and exciting fitness class is launching at Peterlee Leisure Centre on Saturday 11th May with a big fun extravaganza. The class starts at 12 noon for an hour and costs just £5.

Peterlee Leisure Centre is celebrating after receiving an award at this year’s Better Health at Work Awards, which were held at Ramside Hall in Durham. 

Peterlee Leisure Centre has joined forces with the local Investing in Children and the Youth Services teams to offer local young people the services they want, at the times they can attend and at the prices they can afford to pay.

Who said that people in the North East were not fit and healthy? With over 130 people attending the new evolution boot camp at Peterlee Leisure Centre the health and fitness drive is most definitely alive in Peterlee.

Peterlee Leisure Centre has, this week, launched a brand new high intensity indoor workout called Evolution Boot Camp, offering local people the opportunity to improve their fitness quickly. The sessions will be held every Monday and Wednesday 7pm – 8pm and on Sunday at 9.30am – 10.30am.
