<li>On Thursday 7<sup>th</sup> February the centre is launching Body Blast and Ab Attack fitness classes, which will take place every Thursday</li>
<li>Body Blast will take place from 9.45am until 10.45am and is an exciting but challenging session as it aims to sculpt every part of the body</li>
<li>For a more intense workout, Ab Attack is a 30-minute class taking place from 6.00pm until 6.30pm, the class works on all areas of the abdominals and lower back which helps to strengthens the core</li>

				<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>With the Olympics finally upon on us, Ross Gregory, a lifeguard at Tiddenfoot Leisure Centre, has settled into his role as a lifeguard and part of the aquatics team at the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games.</p>
<ul>
<li><span id="more-15144"></span>Ross was selected to be a lifeguard at the Aquatics Centre and Eaton Manor out of 240,000 applicants and, is lucky enough to be one of the 70,000 Games Makers at London 2012</li>
<li>Ross has supervised Team GB’s Water Polo team and Canada’s Diving team training sessions in the run up to the Games, but he has a lot more excitement to come throughout the Games</li>
<li>As well as Ross there are a number of Makers from Leighton Buzzard who are a part of London 2012, including Chris Jessup, one of Tiddenfoot Leisure Centre’s long standing members, who is also a part of the aquatics team this year</li>

<li>This new class will help expectant mothers strengthen their core, lower back and pelvic floor muscles, which is help when giving birth</li>
<li>The classes are also designed to help mums-to-be maintain a good fitness level as well as improving their posture within the second and third trimester</li>
<li>The new legs, tums and bumps class will also help to alleviate back pain, increase endurance levels and improve posture</li>
<li>The classes cost £5 per session or £25 for a 6-week course.</li>
<li>Classes will run from 9.45am -10.45am and 1pm-2pm every Thursday</li>

<li>The swimathon will take place on the weekend of 27th- 29th April and will give thousands of swimmers the opportunity to raise vital funds for Marie Curie Cancer Care through Swimathon’s established Distance Challenges and for Sport Relief with the new ‘Big Splash Mile for Sport Relief’</li>
<li>Swimathon Weekend participants raising money for Marie Curie Cancer Care can choose from the 5k, 2.5k or Team 5k challenges and those opting to raise money for the ‘Big Splash Mile for Sport Relief’ can take part individually or as part of a team to complete a mile</li>
