Swimmers from the Dunstable area took on a challenge for Swimathon 2013 at Dunstable Leisure Centre between 26-28 April 2013. Over 23,000 swimmers of all ages and abilities completed their Swimathon challenge in 616 pools across the UK, helping to raise vital funds for Marie Curie Cancer Care.

Dunstable Leisure Centre’s Aquatic Youth Club is celebrating its second birthday. When the club first started it was only attended by a couple of children a week and now there are 45 children who enjoy the sessions every week.

This February, Tiddenfoot Leisure Centre is launching ‘Love your Body’ month, with two brand new fitness classes and free health checks throughout the month. 

The Bedfordshire Bees cheerleading group is searching for new recruits aged 8 and over, and offering those who are interested the opportunity to attend an open session on Thursday 27th September at 4pm at Dunstable Leisure Centre.

Dunstable Leisure Centre has announced the launch of new Zumba fitness classes starting with a take-off class on Wednesday 19th September at 6.00pm for just £1.

With the Olympics finally upon on us, Ross Gregory, a lifeguard at Tiddenfoot Leisure Centre, has settled into his role as a lifeguard and part of the aquatics team at the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
