Staff from St Crispin’s Leisure Centre have raised over £10,000 for WheelPower, the UK’s leading wheelchair sports charity. Having already completed a London to Bournemouth cycle ride and a 100km charity walk along the Thames, the team have surpassed their £10k target by taking finally part in the Welsh Ironman competition on Sunday 14th September
Daniel Julian’s journey started in January 2012 when he sought the support of Loddon Valley Personal Trainer, Debbie Gaylor, to help him achieve his goal of becoming a Royal Marine Commando.
Shane Venn, a full-time personal trainer at St Crispin’s Leisure Centre in Wokingham will run the London half Marathon on the 22nd April to raise money for Wheelpower, one of the centre’s chosen charities.
