On Saturday 16th March, Riverside Leisure Centre will host a 24-hour badminton event organised by the Riverside Badminton Club to raise money for the heart unit at Freeman Hospital in Newcastle upon Tyne.

Ponteland Leisure Centre to host charity Swimarathon for 19th consecutive year.
On the 12th November, the Ponteland Lions will host its annual Swimarathon at the Ponteland Leisure Centre. The event will raise money for a number of different charitable organisations chosen by both the young participating swimmers and the Lions Club itself.
