Leisure Connection invests more than £50,000 in fitness training
Leisure Connection has invested upward of £50,000 into training its fitness team in a bid to react to the changing age and shape of the nation.
- The training has been delivered by Lifetime Fitness in the areas of anti-natal and post-natal fitness, exercise for the older population and interactive instructor training
- The fitness training will enable the leading leisure operator to expand and enhance its programme of training for special populations
- Leisure Connection has launched a range of new programmes as a result of this training and offers GP referral in all of its public access leisure and sports centres
Kevin Yates, Head of Marketing and Retention for Leisure Connection said:
As an operator and indeed an industry we can’t offer a one size fits all approach to the delivery of health and fitness. We can’t ignore the fact that as a nation we are becoming more obese, we’re aging and we’re growing in numbers. This training has been specifically developed to respond to these changes and has been delivered to our entire fitness team in a bid to provide them with the tools they need to fight obesity and provide our communities with programmes that get more people, more active, more often.
