Meadowlands Leisure Centre celebrate Sport Relief success as its members raised £20

Members at Meadowlands Leisure Centre have raised an impressive £200 for Sport Relief thanks to its successful fundraising activities.

  • Three members of Meadowlands Leisure Centre swam the Big Splash Mile for Sport Relief
  • Susan Behenna, Jenny Mcdowall and Stella Coombs were eager to fundraise as much money as possible by swimming 64 lengths of the local swimming pool and even went that bit further and swam an extra half-mile
  • Kate Henbest, aged 10, also swam the mile the previous Saturday and raised a further £100 for the charity

Quotations:

Dave Smith, Business Manger at Meadowlands said:

We are really proud of all the participants who raised an impressive £200 for Sport Relief. Everybody got involved and the whole event was a huge success but most of all everyone had a great deal of fun.  Well done to everyone who took part and supported the fundraisers.
