Meadowlands Leisure Centre to offer Adult Swim Crash Courses and Life-saving Sport Sessions

Meadowlands Leisure Centre has announced that it will offer adult swim crash courses and a life-saving sport taster session. The crash course will take place on Tuesday 3rd April and Tuesday 10th April, while the life-saving sport taster session will also be hosted on Tuesday 10th April.

  • Taking place at the centre from 6pm to 7pm on both nights, the adult swim crash course aims to give adults the opportunity to develop some of the fundamental skills required for swimming while encouraging them to get involved in the Pool’s swim school programmes.
  • The life-saving sport taster session will begin at 5pm and last until 7pm. In order to take part in the session participants must be able to confidently swim 50m.
  • While the session is free for swim school members, other attendees will be asked to pay £3.

Jon Smith, Contract Manager at Meodowlands Leisure Centre, said:

This is an exciting opportunity for the local community and the courses promise to be great fun. We hope adults take full advantage of this opportunity, as the crash courses are a great way to develop water confidence and the life-saving sport session offers the chance to learn a valuable skill.
