Swimmers in Grantham raise more than £37,000 for local charities
The annual Rotary Club of Grantham Swim marathon event was held at Grantham Meres Leisure Centre in February, and more than 1,400 swimmers raised £37,187.
- A record number of swimmers turned out for the three-day event at the leisure centre
- With teams of 6 to 8 people using a lane for an hour to raise money for local charities, the Rotary Foundation and End Polio Now/Polio Plus campaigns
- The event attracted more than 200 teams from the local community, including many from local schools and swimming club
- Including the St John’s Day Centre team and members of the adult swimming lessons at Grantham Meres Leisure Centre

Each year, the Rotary Club organises this fantastic event at the centre and we are so proud to support all the teams that take part. The number of people who took part and the amount of money raised was record breaking, and we congratulate everyone who took part and helped raise money for local charities.
